Please join us on Saturday May 17, 2025 for WNY Armed Forces Day 5K at Buffalo Naval Park in downtown Buffalo, New York. Celebrate all who served and currently serving in the first ever WNY Armed Forces Day 5K. Whether they are serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard or Space Force, all are welcome to show gratitude for their service.
Not just for the military, everyone can participate to celebrate service. Awards in 10 year age groups with separate awards for our Armed Forces. All participants who register by Wednesday May 7th at 9am are guaranteed to receive one of our official event shirts in their requested size. A small supply of extra shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone. In addition, all participants will receive a keepsake collector coin after the race!

The race will start and finish at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park using USATF Certified Course #NY21009JJ.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPOnline registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Packet pickup and race day registration will take place at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval Park located near the start/finish line from 6:30am right up until the start of the race at 8:00am.5K Race Registration: $30.00*All participants who register before 5/7/25 at 9am will be guaranteed to receive an official event shirt in their requested size! PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking at or near the Naval Park.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers. Custom age awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female runners with special awards for armed forces.
Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
